The Filomen M. D’Agostino Greenberg Music School in New York City
The Filomen M. D’Agostino Greenberg Music School (FMDG Music School), founded in 1913, is committed to helping people pursue their study of music while addressing the challenges posed by vision loss. The Music School has garnered high regard for its instruction, performances, and teacher training. We also serve as a resource to music educators and performers nationwide as one of the leading providers of large print and braille music.
Vision Through Music The Children's Eye Foundation of AAPOS
The mission of the Children's Eye Foundation of AAPOS is to end preventable blindness and improve the lives of visually impaired children worldwide. Vision Through Music is a program of the Children's Eye Foundation that helps connect visually impaired and blind children with music instructors. The work we do is two-fold: we host a registry of teachers on our website, and we provide grants to students to take lessons from teachers who are on our registry. We also provide scholarships for music instructors to take a virtual course through the Academy of Music for the Blind so that they can get instruction on teaching blind and visually impaired students before being added to our registry.
